The painted finishes are based on artist grade acrylics and highlighted with various glazing & distressing techniques. Wood finishes are based on combinations of dyes and pigment stain. Both of these finishes are protected by a high quality urethane finish, which is a tough, environmentally friendly, waterborne finish.

Painted furniture is constructed of Baltic birch plywood, which allows the flexibility of design required by Dust. Baltic birch is a laminated panel product made from solid birch. Dust also builds furniture of solid woods (like oak, maple, cherry, etc for an additional fee). These pieces incorporate the natural beauty of wood into Dust's unique designs. These pieces may be given a traditional finish or may be dyed and stained vivid colors. Solid wood furniture is a good choice if you wish to add the natural beauty of wood to your piece.
