Switch plate covers are made in a studio in Milton, Ontario. The medium is earthenware (low-fire ceramic) and a number of different techniques are employed in making, decorating and glazing these switch plate covers - hand painting, silk-screening, slip-trailing, sponging, airbrushing, dipping, wax resist. The actual switch plate cover characteristics may vary slightly due to the nature of the glazes and the fluctuation of temperature in the kilns.
